"All men are created equal…"
I don’t think we’ve ever achieved that ideal. But we strive for it. In reality, an overwhelming majority of our politicians view us as idiots. They hold us in contempt, they think you’re stupid. The point is that the president and progressives like him have put themselves in a position that they know something you don’t know OR are too “stupid” to figure out. So people have to figure things out; it’s their obligation to save you.
Divine providence is the idea that you are just trying to live your life — working, raising a family, trying to live by God’s principles. Asserting that God is in complete control of all things. The physical world, the affairs of nations, human birth and destiny, successes and failures, and the protection of His people. But just like all good things, people tend to turn it inside out, into something horrible. The opposite of divine providence is manifest destiny; it’s “Get out of our way, we’re on a mission from God, BUT we are governed by chance or fate.”
Throughout history we’ve had leaders from Andrew Jackson to Woodrow Wilson and Obama today who believe in that principle. What do you think Obama means when he says this: ”My individual salvation is not going to come about without a collective salvation for the country.” or “Our individual salvation depends on collective salvation.” What the heck is that supposed to mean? He cannot be saved, unless we’re all saved? That my friends, is a perversion. I’m not saying Obama is trying to make himself God by any means. But the whole progressive movement wants to replace God with the state. For example: Obama’s new healthcare bill…Is there any greater control than that of deciding the fate of someone’s life? The financial “reform” bill just passed, so now they also decide which businesses live and which businesses die. So they control your life AND your pursuit of happiness. There’s only one missing piece: Liberty. It’s just a matter of time before they are coming for it. They have the right to punish, to take away rights, grant favors and decide who lives and who dies. The state has become God and it’s for the good of the collective? I think not!
Do not allow politicians to fool you. It’s time citizens start doing their own research. These same politicians don’t even read the bills that are being proposed! A How can they be representing the people if they don’t know how it going to affect all of us? The arrogance of these men is amazing. On one hand, they talk about the need to be fiscally responsible and freeze spending, but the other hand wants to spend a trillion dollars on things like health care (which by the way has failed in history & other countries). Federal control never works. By trying, it is the definition of insanity. Divine providence does not destroy our freedom. Rather, divine providence is what enables us to properly use that freedom.
